Welcome to the website of Wellington Town Council.

Wellington is a small industrial town in rural Somerset, England, situated near Taunton in the Taunton Deane district, close to the border of Devon and the Blackdown Hills.

The town has a population of around 14,000 and is represented by 15 Councillors. It is a political Council with Conservatives 5, Labour 3 and Liberal Democrats 7, . Council meetings are conducted by the Town Mayor or, in his absence, the Deputy Mayor. The full Council Meetings are at 7pm on 1st Monday of each month at Council Offices.  They are preceded each month on the same day at 6pm by Planning meetings of the Council.

All meetings of the Council are open to the public.  The public may speak and ask questions. The Council often holds public meetings when a particular subject needs detailed discussion.
