U3A - The University of the Third Age whose philosphy is simply that groups of retired people meet to learn from and to teach other other in a variety of activities. There are no examinations! Activities include music apprecation, gardening, painting, railways, heirlooms, birds and wildlife, writing, films, scrabble and walking. Wellington 55 Plus Club at 55 North Street (opposite the fire station) is a social club for all people over 55 to meet and talk and help each other.
