Join us for a fishing taster day for adults and accompanied children. Try your hand at fishing? Wellington Basins Volunteer Group are holding an open afternoon with a chance to learn fishing skills - adult fishermen on hand to show you how. Sunday 13th July 1-5pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bric-a-brac stall, free tea and coffee.

Nynehead Court Garden Tours. Bring your group or club to our beautiful gardens for a tour with the head gardener. 14 acres of parkland and formal gardens await! Learn about different tree and plant specimens with the expert knowledge of your guide. Enjoy the pinetum, beautiful floral displays and catch glimpses of sculptures around the garden. Somerset Sight. Volunteers needed in your local area. Can you help? We are looking for volunteers across Somerset to work one-on-one with sight impaired people who live in the area. Our befriending service volunteers visit regularly to provide companionship and support to people with sight impairment. We offer full training and support, and pay all reasonable out of pocket expenses, including mileage. Wellington Infant Feeding Support Group. Would you like to support feeding your newborn? Tips on how to survive those early months as a new parent? Talk about weaning when the time comes? Come and meet other local parents in a safe and non-judgemental space. Share your stories and chat with a hot drink and a piece of cake. Taunton and Wellington Pensioners Group Coffee Morning. Conservative Club, 10:30am. January 20th, February 17th, March 17th, April 14th, May 12th, June 23rd, July 21st, August 11th, September 22nd, October 20th, November 17th, December 1st. In between these dates we will endeavour to arrange trips out, and possibly cream tea, also the Christmas lunch and New Year lunch.

Walking netball group. Wellington Vixens. Walking netball is a friendly and inclusive programme, allowing women the opportunity to find their place in the sport. It's netball, but at a walking pace where the rules are slightly tweaked. It's an experience; a one-of-a-kind programme that gives access to a whole world of connection, laughter and fun. In the Mix Project. Detached and Outreach Youth Project. When and where we are? We are currently operating in Cotford St Luke and Wellington on alternative Friday evenings between 7pm and 9pm. What are we doing? We are looking to support young people primarily aged between 11-19 years with information, advice an support, and signposting to other services. We will provide and run light touch activities. We will be where young people meet as well as in places like parks and communal areas, look out for staff wearing ID badges and branded clothing. Accommodation Needed. We are preparing two schemes from Somerset Council for accommodating refugees, who would otherwise become homeless. Landlords needed: SAnctuary lodgings (preferred, more sustainable) Private arrangement for taking in a lodger who will pay directly (ideally LHA rate). Refugee Housing Team can help set up a formal lodging agreement. Hosts Needed: Homes for refugees: Register as a potential host to be matched with a guest, £350 payment each month.
