The weather could have been kinder but it didn’t dampen the spirits of everyone who came along to the Christmas Market & Lights Switch On on Saturday. Huge thanks to Wellington Produce Market for organising the market, Dj Steve’s Mobile Discos for providing the music, light and sound systems on the stage and power to the stalls, Pro Sound And Light for providing the stage and FUSE Somerset Outdoor Arts for providing the fantastic street entertainers.
Very special thanks to everyone who was part of the musical entertainment during the afternoon and into the evening – everyone was absolutely brilliant. Thanks also to WELLINGTON MAJORETTES – SOMERSET for a fabulous display and making sure Santa got there safely and to Georgia and Archie from Wellington School for their important work of switching on the lights.
Finally thank you to the community of Wellington for turning out in the numbers they did, especially for the light switch on, but also during the day, despite the weather. It was a very special occasion.
