Grass Cutting and Weed Control

Wellington Town Council manages grass cutting and weed control within the town’s boundaries, apart from HRA areas and estates that are maintained by management companies.

We have a schedule for grass cutting that varies depending on the area (e.g. roadside verge, play area, sports pitch) and the time of year.

How to Report Issues

If you notice overgrown grass or weeds in open spaces please contact us.

Overgrown plants from residential properties that are blocking the pavement should be reported to Somerset Council who can contact the owner and enforce action.

If the area with an issue is within an estate looked after by a management company you will need to contact them directly.

• Jurston Fields is managed by their developer C G Fry & Son
• Monument View is managed by their developer Linden Homes

If the area is HRA managed (e.g. Priory, Howard Road, The Well) you will need to contact Somerset Council with the issue.
