Town Centre Survey Launch

Town Centre Survey Launch

The turbulence of the pandemic and how it has affected how people shop and access local services has led Wellington Town Council to launch a survey of residents.

The council have been awarded Emergency High Street Funding by Somerset West & Taunton District Council which will enable them to undertake projects and events required or needed that come out of the survey results.

The survey is intended to gauge public opinion around what Wellington town centre has to offer, and where improvements can be made.

Wellington Town Clerk, Dave Farrow, said: “We believe it’s the right time to see how residents feel about our town centre. Many shops and businesses depend on people coming to the high street, and through the pandemic our streets have never been so quiet.

“But Wellington’s retailers and services have lots to offer, not to mention the opportunities in the town to eat, drink and be entertained. We want to know what people use, what they like and what they want, so that we can consider how we can make the town centre an attractive, vibrant place to come for residents and retailers .”

The survey takes just 3 minutes to complete and is available online on the Survey page of our website – Click here

Printed copies will also be available from the Town Council office, library and several other locations around town.

Electronic copies of the survey are available by contacting  [email protected] or 01823 662855
