Wellington Town Council is pleased to announce that it has been named as one of the Council of the Year finalists in the National Association of Local Councils‘ (NALC) Star Council Awards 2023 along with four other councils from across England.
We are being recognised for our work in securing the Green Corridor and supporting developments such as the community farm, our support for heritage projects in the town, our collaboration with and support of local groups through the provision of grants to support the more vulnerable members of our community, and our efforts in engaging with the public through consultations and events.
We know that we cannot please everyone all the time but our councillors and staff are fully committed to doing the best for Wellington.
Being named as finalists is a fantastic achievement in itself but we now need your help to go all the way and be in with a chance of being named the winners.
