08 May Wellington’s Bedding Plants Growing Well
Wellington Town Council’s Open Spaces Manager Darren Hill and Assets & Events Officer Annette Kirk visited Riverside Nurseries on Wednesday 8th May to see how Wellington’s bedding plants were growing ahead of their planned delivery and planting on 27th May.
Darren and Annette were pleased to see that all the plants were growing well and are looking forward to the park being planted up and hanging baskets going up in the town centre at the end of the month.
Darren Hill said, “I was very impressed by the quality and selection of plants and am very much looking forward to receiving them in a few weeks and making Wellington look brighter.”
Riverside Nurseries is located just 20 miles away in West Quantoxhead and is the nearest commercial nursery to Wellington. The company director is Steve Fletcher who has spent 30 years in the growing industry, having previously worked with Somerset Council on sites including Wellington Park before striking out on his own.
